Home Made Laundry Detergent
2 cups washng soda
1 cup DRY bleach for unbleachables
1 cup borax
1 bar fels naptha..(.I use a Sunlight bar in Canada)
All items can be found in the laundry isle at your grocery store or Walmart
Grate bar soap and add to all other powdered ingredients. Use just 2 tbsp per load! This is a money saver and it works. No suds, so it is safe for your front load washer.

Starch Recipe
This is the recipe "like" Best Press starch.
Mix together:
1 tsp scented essential oil (found in Walmart candle supplies aisle and they have lots of scents) Note: scent is optional if allergic to scents.
3 oz. vodka (YES vodka) LOL
Then add to 24oz distilled water in large spray bottle and shake well.
(Hint: Vodka is made from potatoes , a natural starch.)

Add one drop of food color per gallon (optional)

Home Made Color Catchers!!
Put 1 tablespoon of Arm and Hammers WASHING SODA into a cup of hot water and stir to dissolve. Put in a large sheet of white fabric that you don't need for anything else and soak in the solution for a few minutes. Take out and hang to dry...cut into 5" squares and use in your wash load.
